It’s True Sometimes Less Is More And You Don’t Have to Write 20,000 Words a Month
Don’t believe the hype focus on quality and the emotion behind your words…
I used to write a lot. Until I didn't and not by choice.
I would pump out articles almost daily like I was some kind of word factory. Then my eyesight started to fade and I became more focused on writing about what truly mattered to me.
I think it’s important to remember the emotions behind our words and think about the quality rather than quantity of our writing but equally, practice is also important — it’s about striking the balance and what works for you and what is best for your wellbeing.
1. Less is More
Writing should never be a chore, it should flow from the soul and provide something meaningful. If your motivation for writing is to earn money then you are not a writer, but a content mill.
It’s important to remember
- Write from the heart with real experiences.
- Write about what you know or at least what you are learning to help consolidate knowledge.
